DAILY BIBLE READING PLAN
Over three weeks we will read through the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts together. Each day includes a designated portion of scripture to read, a reflection to ponder, and a prayer prompt to help you engage in conversation with God.
The goal to keep in mind as you read is allowing God change your heart through the Holy Spirit as you read his Word.
WEEK 1
Day 1 – Thursday, January 8
Luke 1:1–80
Focus: God works through ordinary people to fulfill extraordinary promises.
Reflect: Where are you waiting on God to act?
Prayer: Ask God to grow your trust in His timing, and obedience to follow His leading.
Day 2 – friday, january 9
Luke 2:1–52
Focus: Jesus enters the world in humility and obedience.
Reflect: How do you respond to Jesus—like Mary, the shepherds, or Simeon?
Prayer: Offer yourself anew to God’s purposes.
Day 3 – saturday, january 10
Luke 3:1–4:13
Focus: Jesus is affirmed, tested, and ready to begin his work.
Reflect: How does God prepare you for faithfulness in your calling?
Prayer: Ask for strength to resist temptation and follow Jesus through trials and temptation.
Day 4 – sunday, january 11
Luke 4:14–5:16
Focus: Jesus teaches with authority and heals with compassion.
Reflect: In what areas do you need Jesus’ healing, compassion, direction?
Prayer: Invite Jesus’ authority into every area of your life.
Day 5 – monday, january 12
Luke 5:17–6:11
Focus: Jesus challenges religious assumptions with grace.
Reflect: Are there ways tradition or comfort block your openness to God?
Prayer: Ask for a heart open to repentance, renewal and truth.
Day 6 – tuesday, january 13
Luke 6:12–7:50
Focus: Kingdom living looks like mercy, humility, and love.
Reflect: Which kingdom value is most challenging for you to live into?
Prayer: Pray for grace to love as Jesus loves. Pray for your neighbourhood and community.
Day 7 – wednesday, january 14
Luke 8:1–9:17
Focus: Jesus brings peace in chaos and abundance in scarcity.
Reflect: Where do you need to trust Jesus more wholeheartedly?
Prayer: Place your fears and needs in God’s hands.

Focus: Following Jesus means redefining success and greatness.
Reflect: How does your view of Jesus shape your daily life?
Prayer: Ask for deeper understanding and commitment.

Luke 9:51–13:21
Focus: Jesus calls for wholehearted devotion.
Reflect: What might Jesus be asking you to leave behind?
Prayer: Pray for courage to follow wherever he leads.
Day 10 – saturday, january 17
Luke 13:22–19:27
Focus: God seeks, welcomes, and restores the lost.
Reflect: How have you experienced God’s grace?
Prayer: Pray for those who are lost. Thank God for his mercy and pray for others to know it.
Day 11 – sunday, january 18
Luke 19:28–24:53
Focus: Death is defeated and hope is restored.
Reflect: How does the resurrection shape your hope today?
Prayer: Praise God for new life and lasting hope.

Acts 1:1–2:47
Focus: God empowers ordinary people to witness boldly.
Reflect: How is the Spirit at work in your life?
Prayer: Ask for fresh empowerment and receptiveness to the Spirit.

Focus: Obedience to God brings courage and joy, even in opposition.
Reflect: What fears keep you from sharing your faith?
Prayer: Pray for boldness and faithfulness.

Focus: God’s mission advances even through suffering.
Reflect: How do you respond when faith becomes costly?
Prayer: Ask for perseverance and trust.

Focus: God radically transforms lives for his mission.
Reflect: How has God changed you—or how do you need changing?
Prayer: Surrender areas that need transformation.
Day 16 – friday, january 23
Acts 9:32–11:18
Focus: The gospel is for everyone.
Reflect: Are there people you struggle to see as God sees?
Prayer: Ask for a heart that reflects God’s expansive, inclusive love.

Acts 11:19–12:25
Focus: The church thrives when centered on God’s mission.
Reflect: How do you contribute to God’s work in community?
Prayer: Pray for our church and its witness. Pray for the renewal of our city.

Acts 13:1–14:28
Focus: God sends his people to proclaim good news.
Reflect: Where might God be sending you?
Prayer: Ask for willingness and guidance.

Acts 15:1–35
Focus: Salvation is by grace alone.
Reflect: Are there barriers you place on others’ faith journeys?
Prayer: Thank God for grace. Pray for unity.
Day 20 – tuesday, january 27
Acts 15:36–21:16
Focus: Following God often involves hardship and uncertainty.
Reflect: How do you respond when obedience is difficult?
Prayer: Pray for endurance, courage, trust. Ask God to strengthen your convictions.

Focus: God’s mission continues despite opposition.
Reflect: How does your life point others to Christ?
Prayer: Commit yourself to ongoing faithfulness and witness.
