In Our neighbourhoods, as it is in heaven

Relate Communities are weekly in-home gatherings for our Relate Church family. While they resemble small groups, Relate Communities bring a unique touch to our gatherings and serve a special purpose. These intimate home meetings offer a chance to connect with others, share life experiences, delve into Scripture, and lift each other up in prayer.

All are welcome.

 

    1. Communities are place-based, and centered around neighbourhoods. We are commissioned to be salt and light in the places we call home. God never gets the address wrong.

    2. Communities are multi-generational & multi-cultural . Church at its healthiest is marked by unity in diversity. We are shaped within relationship, and we all of our differences to be all who God has called us to be.

    3. Communities are central to who we are and where we are going as a Church. They are as essential to spiritual growth as our Sunday gatherings.

    4. Communities are the primary space for us to practice Kingdom life. Together, we will grow in our discipleship. Through practice of: the subversive communal disciplines of prayer, the study of Scripture, confession, encouragement and burden-bearing.

    5. Communities are hubs of life-giving contribution to the neighbourhoods we call home. In these shared space, we practice sacrificial generosity, evangelism & mission. We are here for the renewal of our neighbourhoods.

  • Communities gather on Sundays or Wednesdays (depending on the gathering).

    • Cloverdale + Clayton Heights

    • West + Central Surrey (Newton, Panorama Ridge + Sullivan Heights)

    • North Surrey (Whalley, Guildford, Fraser Heights, Fleetwood)

    Langley

    • North Langley (Willoughby, Walnut Grove, Fort Langley)

The first step in joining a Community is to attend an onboarding meeting.

We host these evenings a handful of times throughout the year in order to give you a chance to hear a bit about our longterm vision for Relate Communities, as well as what our gatherings typically look like.
